Hi, my name is Emma. I've always loved to explore and photograph new locations. Ever since I was a kid, my family and I have been all around MA: hiking, discovering, exploring. I wanted to create a website of the best lesser-known places in MA--by a local, for locals.
I've always loved photography, and every single photo on this site is taken by me. Whether you like hiking, shopping, or eating, there is a hidden gem out there for you. Now is the perfect time to get to know your state better and all of the amazing locations it has to offer.
Even though I travel a lot around MA, making this website helped me appreciate all of the amazing places in my own backyard. It's easy to take local travel for granted, but some of the most rewarding experiences happen less than an hour from home. Working on Hidden Gems MA has helped me discover some of my favorite places, and I hope that I can share them with you too.
The utmost care is being taken with COVID-19 precautions, and each of my posts will highlight what visitors should do to avoid the spread of coronavirus. Current Massachusetts guidelines require face coverings in public places both indoors and outdoors if you are over the age of 5. But because of the travel restrictions, now is the perfect time to explore some amazing local destinations.
